Description:
Icterene is an inorganic chemical compound of Tamarix dioica and is an effective treatment for jaundice, infective haemolytic or toxic. It has also been found clinically useful in jaundice Neonatarum.
Indications:
Besides its specific use in jaundice, Icterene has also been successfully employed in oliguria or where dieresis is required. In mild infective febrile states Icterene acts as diaphoretic and lowers down the body temperature.
Directions:
Adults may take two tablets with water one hour after meal thrice a day.
